Il governo americano decide di investigare su una serie di avvistamenti di UFO segnalati in Alaska e, in particolare, sulla presunta caduta di un disco volante, temendo - qualora la notizia risponda a verità - di essere preceduti dai russi nel rinvenimento dell'apparecchio.
